This over-sized, wheel-thrown mug gives your coffee room to settle in, stretching each cup just a bit longer. An unhurried all-day mug, grounded in form and comfortable in weight.
Clean lines and subtle markings on the hand-formed handle, paired with a beveled foot ring, complete the minimalist look and feel. Like the beverages it holds, this piece is robust and may require two hands to operate. Please drink responsibly.
A good companion for long mornings and even longer afternoons.
As with most of my designs, the natural clay body speaks for itself, while the glaze application grounds the piece and highlights the material it came from. This mug showcases a Matte Black glaze.
Each Sunyata piece carries a small hand-carved maker’s mark at the base—a quiet signature from the hands that made it.

Materials:
Every mug at Sunyata is made from gray stoneware clay with fine black speckling. All glazes used are food-safe and non-toxic—a standard held across the studio.
Additional Notes:
With regular use, mug interiors may develop slight discoloration depending on what they hold. This is a natural characteristic of the material and a quiet reflection of what its' held over time.
