This over-sized, wheel-thrown mug is built for a generous pour and the time to enjoy it. A practical all-day mug, simple in form and steady in the hand.
Elements like the exaggerated hand-formed handle—large enough to fit any size mitt—and the beveled foot ring complete the minimalist look and feel. Built for the long run. No warm-ups required. Refills encouraged.

As with most of my designs, the natural clay body works together with the glaze application—grounding the piece and highlighting the material it came from. This mug showcases an Olive Green & Pure White glaze.
Each Sunyata piece carries a small hand-carved maker’s mark at the base—a quiet signature from the hands that made it.
Ceramics is an intimate craft. Each piece is made entirely by hand, carrying time, energy, and attention to detail. While the same care goes into every piece, no two turn out exactly alike—the subtle variations in form and finish are what give each one its character and purpose.

Materials:
Every mug at Sunyata is made from gray stoneware clay with fine black speckling. All glazes used are food-safe and non-toxic—a standard held across the studio.
Additional Notes:
With regular use, mug interiors may develop slight discoloration depending on what they hold. This is a natural characteristic of the material and a quiet reflection of what its' held over time.
