Packaging

Policy

Everything is packaged the same way it’s made—grounded, intentional, and a little resourceful. I use 100% recycled materials, and everything that goes out the door is fully recyclable. No plastic. None. Not hidden, not “just a little”—none.

That means your order might show up in a secondhand box, packed with old newspapers, or materials that have clearly lived a life before getting to you. It may not look perfect, but it’s doing its job—and doing it responsibly.

At the end of the day, everything I make comes from the earth. Water, clay, inspiration—it all starts there. The same place that provides my livelihood and a good part of my happiness. Packaging is just an extension of that mindset.

Use it, reuse it, recycle it—keep it moving.

When new materials are required, I prioritize eco-conscious options, including:

  • Business cards made from recycled hemp paper

  • Uncoated, recycled, and biodegradable paper

  • Plastic-free, biodegradable paper packing tape

  • Cellulose-based wadding (home compostable and recyclable)

I encourage customers to reuse, repurpose, or, at the very least, recycle the packaging delivered with my work.

shipping

Policy

Transparency matters. You’ll receive clear updates along the way—order confirmation, production timelines, shipping details, and anything that may affect your order.

Sunyata is a one-person operation. Every piece is made, packed, and shipped by my hands. Orders are processed as efficiently as possible within 3–5 business days after payment is received. A little patience is always appreciated—I’m working to get your piece out the door as quickly, and as carefully, as I can.

Shipping Rates & Carriers

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your order’s weight and destination. At this time, shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Shipping is handled through a range of carriers, allowing you to choose the option that best fits your needs.

I’d love to offer free shipping, but as a small, independent studio, it’s not something I’m able to provide right now—this is how I make my living, and I appreciate your understanding.

Domestic & International Shipping

Sunyata ships both within the United States and internationally. International shipping is something I’m continuing to learn and grow into. If you’re ordering from outside the U.S., just know a little extra patience may be required—but it also means the work is reaching further than I ever imagined, which I don’t take lightly.

Please note that international orders may be subject to customs fees, duties, or import taxes. These are the responsibility of the customer.

Processing & Delivery

Once your order has been shipped, you’ll receive tracking information by email.

Delivery estimates are provided at checkout, but they are just that—estimates. Shipping times can vary depending on location, carrier, and time of year.

Delays, Lost, or Damaged Packages

Once a package has been handed off to the carrier, it is out of my control. Sunyata is not responsible for delays, lost packages, or issues caused by the shipping carrier.

If something does go wrong, I’ll do my best to help you work through it with the carrier. If your piece arrives damaged, please refer to the Return & Refund Policy for next steps.

Local Pickup

Local pickup is available and encouraged!

If you’d prefer to pick up your order, please reach out after checkout with your name and order number, and we can coordinate a time that works. Any shipping costs paid at checkout will be refunded.

If you have any questions about shipping, delivery times, or your order, feel free to reach out. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. My contact information can be found at the bottom left corner of the website footer.
