Wheel-thrown and hand-finished, this lidded form keeps things simple at first glance, then pulls you in. Unique, hand-carved lines wrap the surface in an organic rhythm—built as much for the hand as for the eye—while the glaze breaks and moves across the top, softening the structure with something a little less predictable. The lid sits clean, topped with a hand-formed knob that feels more like a gesture than a handle—easy to reach, hard to ignore.
Perfect for grains, cookies, memories, or the small kitchen secrets that somehow accumulate over time.
As with most of my designs, the natural clay body is thoughtfully included in the glaze application—grounding the piece and highlighting the material it came from. This piece showcases Olive Float, Light Flux, and Brown glazes.
Each Sunyata piece carries a small hand-carved maker’s mark at the base—a quiet signature from the hands that made it.
Ceramics is an intimate craft. Each piece is made entirely by hand, carrying time, energy, and attention to detail. While the same care goes into every piece, no two turn out exactly alike—the subtle variations in form and finish are what give each one its character and purpose.

Materials:
Every storage container at Sunyata is made from gray stoneware clay with fine black speckling. All glazes used are food-safe and non-toxic—a standard held across the studio.
