Large Serving Bowl 2
For food that enjoys looking good before it gets devoured.
Wheel-thrown with hand-crafted features, this serving bowl has plenty to hold onto. Two hand-formed handles span the length of the dish, balancing the weight and making it easy to pass around the table.
Perfect for fruits, pastas, salads, or for when you’ve got the house to yourself and the cereal starts whispering your name.
Unlike most of my designs, the focus here shifts to the glaze rather than the natural clay body. This piece showcases a Tin Cup shino glaze that breaks over the throwing lines of the form, revealing varying tones of charcoal, tin, and rust.
Each Sunyata piece carries a small hand-carved maker’s mark at the base—a quiet signature from the hands that made it.
Ceramics is an intimate craft. Each piece is made entirely by hand, carrying time, energy, and attention to detail. While the same care goes into every piece, no two turn out exactly alike—the subtle variations in form and finish are what give each one its character and purpose.
